About Docfluencer

Why I started Docfluencer.

Back in 2016, right before I started Docfluencer, I was a simple pharmacist who was excellent at sticking labels on boxes and telling people to take stuff with food.

I was also a fabulous ok-ish writer.

Harry Potter fan fics, slam poetry, 50 Shades of Grey romcoms...
(jks, I would never ๐Ÿ™ˆ).

I did a postgrad research degree and my favorite part was writing the thesis...

I loved words and what they could do.

But Sabrine the Pharmacist, who paid the bills, was kept completely separate from Sabrine the Writer (who most certainly did not pay the bills).

Total Jekyll and Hyde vibes. ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Then in 2016, I found myself jobless and living in Europe.

I suddenly had a ton of free time to write and sip on mint teas in cute little Dutch cafes.

But mint teas don't pay for themselves, as I painfully discovered, and so I threw myself into the only job that made sense for a broke pharmacist/writer:

medical content writing โœ๏ธ.

I started with $5 gigs on Fiverr to test the waters.

I soon realized that I had accidentally swum into a wide open sea of opportunity.

Medical content writers were not that common, as it turned out.

And soon my Fiverr gigs turned into real work helping brands figure out how to catch โ€“ and keep โ€“ short attention spans.

๐Ÿ“ I built and managed newsletters with 100k+ subscribers.

๐Ÿ“น I made videos for brands that were watched millions of times.

๐Ÿ“ˆ I created content that got thousands of followers overnight.

Suddenly, I went from broke pharmacist to agency owner helping medical organizations create content for short attention spans.

That overlap โ€“ the pharmacist with ADHD, an obsession with understanding attention and a penchant for words โ€“ is the only reason Docfluencer exists.
